Webmail via browser

To access your hosted Email account for your website using your browser, go to:

https://www.yoursite.url/webmail

You are probably not behind a firewall blocking port 2096, so select that option unless you know otherwise. (Port 2096 is the "port" typically dedicated to network connections to secure mail servers.)

Webmail splash screen

If you don't make a selection, the screen will eventually time out and take you to the sign-in screen (see below).

Your email service features include:

  • send, receive, manage email
  • calendar
  • address book
  • task lists
  • bookmarks (URLs)

If you plan to use Outlook (see below), you'll only be using the email function.

You do need to connect to your Email account via browser to change your password. You can reset it from the webmail login screen. We suggest you change your password from the password we initially set up for you:

Standard webmail sign-in

You can also access Webmail by going through default webmail port 2095:

Setting up access via Outlook

Outlook has vastly improved the process of setting up access to third party mail servers from Outlook.

You only have to choose whether to chose "POP3" or "IMAP".

  • POP3 or POP  —  Select this option if you want to retrieve all your mail and keep it locally. This works on one computer onlye. Once you download the email, you have it on your system — and it is no longer on the mail server. Your storage is limited only by your own disk space.
  • IMAP  —  Select this option if you want the flexibility of accessing your mail from multiple systems/locations including webmail. Your mail is maintained on the server. Outlook will keep a local duplicate. Deletions, receives, and sends are reflected everywhere. Your storage is limited by your server mail quota. 3GB (three gigabytes) of storage per Email account is included with your hosting. Contact us if you need more. We do not limit the number of Email accounts.

IMAP is more flexible; POP3 gives you an exclusive, single, local copy of all your Email on your computer. The choice is yours.

To set up your access from Outlook:

Select File on the top ribbon.

Click on the + Add account button which appears on the "Account Information" screen. That will present the account setup popup:

Initial setup screen

Enter the email address we have set up for you, select "Advanced options", select "Let me set up my account manually", and click on "Connect".

Outlook will then ask you what kind of account (connection) you want to set up.

Account type popup

Click on the "POP" or "IMAP" icon.

Outlook will ask for the account password. Use the password we have set up for you, and click again on "Connect". In the example below, we selected IMAP. This step is the same regardless which option you pick.

And that's it. Outlook will complete the setup and inform you when complete:

If you DO NOT wish to set up Outlook for you mail account on your phone, deselect "Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone, too." before clicking "Done."
